Google: There was a problem sending you a verification code. Please request a new code and try again. (Technology)

Anybody know what to do here?

I had to get a new mobile number and I wanted to change my mobile number on my Google two factor

So I logged into Google and it asked for a code, I could choose to have the code sent to my old mobile number (which I don't have access to) or my landline so I chose landline

The landline phone rang and gave me the code and I logged into my Google account then clicked to change two factor settings and it asked me for a code again either sent to my old mobile number (which I don't have access to) or my landline so I chose landline again

and now it always says in red text There was a problem sending you a verification code. Please request a new code and try again. even though the code was sent fine to get into my account :-banghead

I've tried it multiple times over the last 5 hours and it always shows this error in red :-dunno

I spent 30 minutes looking for a way of contacting support and Google doesn't seem to have any :-roll What a mess this company is.

When I had this problem a while back I stayed logged in but left it a few days before trying to get a code sent again. They seem to be ultra sensitive to locking you out from getting a code sent on a landline. I don't know whether they have some kind of time limit on how many codes you can get sent to landline or what but like I said I left it a few days and tried again then it worked.
