Well I got the controller but still waiting on the actually console :-D

Not sure what to think, not sure whether I like it as much as the PS4 controller :-think

What do you lot think?

How annoying is it to have the controller and games sitting there and having to wait for the console to launch :-lol

I've never known a console generation where the accessories and games launched nearly a week before the console :-think :-banghead

The controller feels pretty comfortable, difficult to tell until you start playing a game for real. For me it would be more comfortable if the thumbstick was where the D-pad is but I like the dampening of the main face buttons, they're not so loud when you press them compared to the PS4 pad and the triggers feel more substantial.

For me the PS4 pad feels more comfortable to hold but I much prefer the feel of the buttons, thumbsticks, triggers, shoulder buttons, basically everything else is better on the PS5 pad apart from the way it sits in my hands.

Agreed, everything on the PS5 controller feels better but it is less comfortable for me than the PS4 controller. For some reason my left middle finger that sits in the curve just under the L2 trigger starts hurting after a while and that never happened on the PS4 controller.

I would edge it to the PS4 on overall comfort possibly but the dualsense haptic feedback triggers blow me away! Makes the PS4 controller feel really old.

Just got my order of this beautiful console :-jump Love the controller too :-cool

Not sure if it was fake but I saw a picture of somebody who received a controller with two triangle buttons. Probably photoshopped though :-D

Are the face buttons on the PS5 pad slightly more spread out? I say that because I was playing Wipeout Omega which I'm very used to on PS4 but holding the X button in and pressing the circle button at the same time with my thumb on the PS5 pad seems more difficult, the two buttons feel further away.

They look about the same distance apart as the PS4 pad and I have not measured it but it just felt more difficult.

Battery again sucks balls

Comfortability if that is a word is so so with me. Because the the left thumbstick is not in the offset position like a proper controller ;-) it means the left side grip does not fit in the palm of my hand, I have to angle my hand out a bit. Like what somebody else said if the left thumbstick was in the position of the D-Pad it would be an ultra comfortable controller.

Everything else on it feels fantastic, the only major problem once again is battery life :-facepalm Before I know it it's down to one bar and needs charging, the Dualsense features eat through the battery. Yes ok you can turn everything off on the controller like rumble and lights to gain a few hours probably but what is the point in having the next generation rumble if you can't use it?

Don't like the black indent they did in the handles, I would rather it was all one piece like the ps4 controller. My fingers sit bang on the raised line between the white and black area of the handles and it is uncomfortable after a time

They made a big thing of the microscopic button logos pressed on the back of the grips but I don't find it very grippy at all. Also I think the thumbsticks could have done with more grip around the edges, yes it is better than the ps4 thumbsticks but still could have done with an even more grippy texture pattern.
