I'm thinking a small device with an lcd screen and RJ45 port, you plug an Ethernet cable into a router port or a switch port then the other end into the handheld device then press one button on the handheld device and it gives you the reading in Mbps on the lcd screen?

Like the results you would get at speedtest.net but in this case you don't need a pc. You just have this speedtest handheld device and the router in front of you?

Is there such a device?

I've seen handheld devices with an RJ45 connector on the end that are used for fault finding in the line but not sure if they actually give you the speed result as they never had an lcd screen just a load of red lights lol
