When is New really "New" when selling? (General)

What do you class as New?

If a company sends you a game that does not have the cellophane on, is that still classed as New?

Seen a listing of a product that has cellophane but has a crack in the case but it's listed as New, can that be classed as New?

At what point does the "New" motif end?

Your new high powered sports car has probably been thrashed around a track for testing before you ever picked it up at the dealers, so is that new still? Difficult one.

If you remember the video rental store Titles or Choices back in the day, when you wanted to buy a game you picked the case off the shelf and took it to the counter where they would then get the disc and Instructions from the back room and put them in the case and sell it to you as new.

Is that really classed as new?

Well In my opinion once it's out the factory sealed cellphane wrap and somebody has put their grubby mitts on the actual case it's then soiled and should not be sold as "new"
