4 months and the brand new Sky Q 2tb box hard drive has failed, can't record, lost all my recordings. Cost me over £6 in call fees to phone Sky for 30 minutes and verbally fight them to get an engineer out :-tothehand who had better replace the faulty box with a brand new one or all hell will break loose

after paying extortionate monthly fees, 4 months for a brand new flagship product :-middlefinger

my box becomes unresponsive every other day now. so if you press any button on the remote the box does nothing. it needs to be unplugged and restarted for the responsiveness to come back. this is a new box too but was not like it for the first few weeks :-(

I get a feeling things go well until Sky updates the firmware. I too am on my third Sky Q box

1st box after an update decided to not record anymore
2nd box after an update had a failed or corrupted hard drive
3rd box that I have now after update is freezing on a regular basis

How many Sky Q boxes will I need to get before one at least lasts me a year without problems??? All I ask for in a brand new premium product is for it to last me one year with no hassle!

Sky Q freezing Issue

My Sky Q freezes up on a regular basis. Green light on the box but no picture just a blue screen and pressing any button on the remote or physical button on the box does nothing it has to be unplugged.

This is the second Sky Q box I have had to do this.

My old Sky HD box had the same problems and needed unplugging.

On my second box now and it's started to become unresponsive a lot. Also hate the menu so much wasted space and navigation is horrible.

Sky are a terrible company they make billing so complicated on purpose so you don't really know exactly what you should be getting for the stupid prices they charge not to mention the long term contracts during which they can raise the price. If another company was supplying the same I would ditch Sky so quickly and never go back.
